James, a lifelong native of the Monterey Peninsula, enjoys surfing and running barefoot on the beach in his spare time. Well-traveled, he makes annual pilgrimages to Indonesia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico in search of the perfect wave. He is a devoted father of a loving daughter who recently graduated from Chico State University and now working in Los Angeles.
